Rebuild the power grids around the U.S. and the power grids will belong to the people. Put solar panels on every school, library, city, state, and federal building. The solar power will help to cut costs of running each building, and the schools will be pumping electricity back into the grids all summer, to be used toward running the schools or toward repairs needed, plus all the solar power all year long, cutting school costs of running the lights, heat and/ or air conditioning.
Building pipelines thousands of miles through the Rockies & Sierras, etc., to water deserts? Size our communities for reasonably local resources (water, food, building materials, etc.). Develop more habitable places. Relocate businesses & people to them. Make it easy, affordable & energy efficient to VISIT deserts, hurricane coastlands, faultlines, tornado alley, flood zones, etc., but for god's sake don't waste & resources & exacerbate Climate Change fighting nature trying to LIVE in them.
Build a magnetic levitating platform to supplement the U.S. Hwy infrastructure; A platform that 18 wheelers and personal vehicles can park on and turn off the engine to save gas, pay a toll and travel with your vehicle to another city or part of the State or area of the Country at high speed with more safety than air travel. Maglev technology can run on wind and solar and save consumers time and cut back on carbon emissions and take reduce risk for long haul drivers.
End corporate lying for profit. In honor of Dr. Clair Cameron Patterson who fought multinational oil and gas corporations to prove that lead in paint and gasoline can fatally harm people; we must end the for profit science liars like Robert A. Kehoe by punishing the corporations who employ them. The tobacco science wars have evolved into the climate science, chemical pollution dumping and GMO science wars. The US have the most relaxed regulations and relaxed enforcement.
Use transitioning military personnel to reduce the overall cost of public infrastructure while at the same time providing on the job training and providing introductions to prospective employers. The project funding should supplement the military pay such that the transitioning military personnel's pay would be relatively commensurate with private sector workers in comparable positions.
