NUCLEAR WASTE: Find permanent, safe* disposal sites for high- level nuclear waste housed in filled catch basins at nuclear plants throughout the country and in storage tanks in Tri-Cities, WA. A significant legacy for future generations. Inform/protect communities when transporting nuclear waste & other toxic chemicals through their communities. * safe is relative - there's no known safe long -term disposal of waste with half life and full life of thousands and tens of thousands of yrs.

Promote a shift away from meat and dairy, which form the largest global contributor to global warming and lifestyle diseases. Promote veganism, which will reduce climate change, water scarcity, deforestation, land degradation water pollution, obesity, diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers.

Have a bill created to spend Billions (raised by taxing all dirty energy businesses & 10-years into the passage of the bill, taxing those home & business buildings owners not using solar energy) on: 1st. Fixing the power grid, efficient in transporting electricity , 2nd. Offering all- home, business building, small solar panels business owners low interest 30-years mortgage loans for paying for their costs to have enough solar panels on top of the roofs to provide all their power needs.

Slow and stop global warming by removing the excess CO2 from the air and oceans folowed by sequestering. It can be done by converting existing coal burning power plants to oxyfuel combustion which produces no CO2 plus using the new safer nuclear reactors. See www.skyscrubber.com

Make flex fuel engines in vehicles mandatory phased in over 10 years. This will make for true competition in the fuel market. People will be able to buy whatever fuel is priced competitively and we will finally end the oil monopoly.

Begin protecting areas of land and declaring them as 'Renewable Energy Power Parks' (REPPs). On each parcel of land we would maximize all relevant renewable energy potential (solar, wind, geothermal, hydrokinetic (river, tidal, wave, etc.), biomass, etc.) and to connect the power generated to local communities. These REPPs would range from a small urban park powering a neighborhood to a larger more rural park powering an entire city. Safe for the public. Public-Private Partnerships will be key.

Transfer $25B billion per year (tied to COLA) from "Defense" to the research and development of high-capacity long distance transmission of electricity, to support the distribution of energy produced from remote solar and wind installations.

Give tax incentives to companies (and penalize those that don't follow this model) that re-use and update existing buildings. Building on empty land where the natural vegetation is clear cut to make way for more concrete should be prohibited. Make sure businesses have enough money held in escrow to return the land back to its original state when their old buildings are no longer being used (which are usually left to rot and become eyesores).

Contribute substantially to the international green development fund, take immediate action to cool the Arctic and drastically reduce emissions, as we are rapidly loosing the Arctic ice cap, the world's air conditioner and solar heat reflector. Ice free summers are projected in the Arctic in the next several years, which is already releasing unimaginable amounts of methane from the frozen deposits beneath the bed of the rapidly warming Arctic ocean, accelerating global warming out of control.

Require insurance companies to offer homeowners insurance policies that insure (1) solar panels that are not attached to the structure of the home (2) inspected wind turbines at a cost that percent-wise, is no more than proportion of the cost of the panels or wind turbines to the assessed coverage of the home in the policy.
