Make population control a main stream topic, as it was in the '70. Subsidize cost of Contraception so that any woman can afford it and those who can't, recieve it free. Get rid of the laws prevent funding for FamilyPlanning both national & internaional. Provide information about abortion services, funding it, when not affordable. There are 100,000,000 million Americans that suffer from chronic pain yet the powers that be are more concerned about drug abusers than the people that are suffering. Somehow we must make lifesaving opioid medication available for those people in pain instead of concerning ourselves with out of control people.
Label drugs that haven't been fully safety tested with Black Box Warning Labels. These days many drugs are approved when full safety testing has not been completed. Drug companies sometimes wait 10 years before completing the required testing. Killer drugs have remained on sale until the testing was completed.
We need better healthcare for middle income people. How is it that I work, have healthcare through my employment but still have to pay 20% of a hospital bill? Employers are choosing low cost health plans and pushing more costs towards the employees. This is a huge burden. What I suggest is that all people that work get the same healthcare plan that our dear senators have, you are voted in by the people in essence you work for us, if you have 100% coverage so should we.
Health insurance (including Medicare and Medicaid) should cover naturopathic medical costs. The future of medicine is in preventing and treating disease by detecting nutrient deficiencies/imbalances, and eliminating toxins, enabling the body to heal itself. Many of the tests and therapies are not currently covered.
Full-spectrum and holistic curriculum in sex education in the public school system from grade school through secondary school. More and more children are discovering their sex and gender identities at earlier ages, but they are taught in the public school system that these identities are unjust, immoral, and just wrong, thus resulting in rising numbers of youth and teen suicide. Re-evaluate the public education stance on sex education so that our children have hope for a better future.
Well-Baby / Well-Child Care: Expand Medicare coverage to include all pregnancies, babies, and children to age 5. Moreover, all Acute Care / Chronic Care of children to age 5 will be handled by a Single Payer Health Care System. Finally, provide compensatory incentives to Doctors, Nurses, licensed health care employees to staff or create Child Health Care clinics where they are most needed, in both urban and rural settings
Universal single-payer health care that offers generous tax deductions for changing to a vegan diet, which will save the health care economy substantial funds not spent on avoidable chronic degenerative diseases caused by an animal-based diet, a.k.a. the standard American diet. Veganism is much more fiscally conservative, not to mention its capacity to dramatically improve one's long-term quality of life.
Women and our bodies are NOT commodities on the open market. We DESERVE the right and legislation that reflects this. This is 2014, and we shouldn't be fighting for the same health and reproductive rights as men. Otherwise, I say remove condoms from store shelves, and let women decide if their husbands should get prescriptions filled for ED medication. Let's see how long that would last before new legislation were passed supporting men's health care rights.
