make the connection between environmental pollution and public health and calculate the financial cost of air, water, chemical and food pollution on the nation's health bill. Republicans complain that environmental regulations are job killers but you can argue that environmental pollution kills the people needed to occupy jobs and to do productive work and has a major impact to GNP. Another idea is to recalculate the GNP to net out the cost, for example of treating chronic diseases like obesity.

Initiate a Manhattan Project for genetic medicine and treatments to help accelerate their development. These sorts of medicines have the potential of dramatically reducing medical costs, actually offering cures/fixes for problems instead of band-aids, as well as potentially addressing the growing problem of antibiotic resistant diseases.

Registration of guns that includes a yearly registration fee like states have on automobiles. This could be used to finance gun related injuries.

Improve safety regarding prescription & OTC drugs similar to Vanessa's Law just passed in Canada . Require Mandatory Adverse Event Reporting; Recall unsafe therapeutic products; Impose tough new penalties for unsafe products, including jail time and new fines of up to $5 million per day; Provide courts with discretion to impose even stronger fines if violations were caused intentionally; Compel drug companies to revise labels to clearly reflect health risk information; Compel more testing

Allow individuals to add to living wills and an OK to implement in Health Care Proxies a Euthanasia clause. Many of our elders don't want to live with debilitating illness and family doesn't want to watch the extreme pains many are faced with. This would be done while of sound mind, etc. It would need a physician to sign off on it as well. My understanding is that 80% of medicare is paid out in the last months of life that many don't want. Win-win!

Everyone knows that eating healthier foods means a healthier populace. Making healty foods more affordable is crucial. A specific type of fish, certain types of vegetables-should be cheap enough to feed a family of four (or more); but rarely are. Retirees are also unable to afford better foods. 99cents lb on specific healthy fish and vegetables might help a majority of people.

To achieve universal healthcare, extend Medicare by one year of eligibility downward each year until everyone is covered. So in 2016, you are eligibile at age 64; 2017, at age 63; 2018, at age 62.

Require pharmacy chains to post online public view prices for some if not all of their medicines, thereby spurring competition that will bring down prices. For hospitals require them to post online public view costs of many if not all of their supplies and surgical procedures, thereby spurring competition to bring down prices. Give states incentives to form regional state group purchasing alliances to enable mass purchasing of medicines that people in their states can buy, thus cutting costs.

Veterinary medical costs for a household pet should be tax deductible. A pet should be counted as a dependent on tax returns. Low income people should be eligible for subsidies that would make it financially feasible for them to own a pet.

End the cycle of drug abuse that is hiding in plain sight. Require all prescriptions for opiates to be linked to your drivers license or social security number. No more doctor shopping that results in multiple prescriptions for the same drug, for the same patient, and record profits for the drug companies that look the other way. Addiction ruins families. One ID = only one prescription for a highly addictive pain-killer, in a national registry so no one can drive across state borders.

Start a nation wide campaign to show how most politicians severally over complicate the whole healthcare/social security/medicare/medicaid issues's. The simple solution has always been to tax all income not just the poor and low middle class.Then we would have healthcare for all and also be able to completely eliminate the health insurance industry.

Eliminate pre-existing conditions for long term care and life insurance. People are being excluded because of a previous diagnosis. What matters more is the actual health of the person. If their disease is stable, then they should be eligible for long-term care and health insurance.

Stop spraying chemtrails. The barium, strontium and aluminum being pumped into the upper atmosphere has no legitimate purpose, and increases rates of Alzheimers, cancer and heart disease, among others. If population control is the goal, increase the power afforded to women to control their own reproductive status.

Lets amend ACA to mandate that insurance companies pay for things that would keep us healthy. I am talking any type of cardiovascular aerobic exercise be it aerobics class, Martial Arts class, Dance classes of any type, free memberships to gyms with an already paid for personal trainer. Sure insurance comps might have to pay more today but they will save more in the long run not having to worry about costly operations. Also it's good for our economy & businesses who teach those classes

Hold the FDA, AMA, American Cancer Society, and all other agencies responsible for their part in suppressing information about real cancer cures and hold the media accountable for not reporting news of cancer cures and breakthroughs, so the people know the truth - that we have known for a hundred years what cancer is and how to cure it, so people don't have to travel outside the country to be healed of cancer. End the Cancer Trance, so that Americans know that it is NOT a death sentence.
