All national elective seats must be financed by the federal government with no candidate being allowed to spend money from any other source, including their own. Until our government is no longer "for sale" to those with the most money, it will never be responsive to the average voter.

Bar any television station from accepting money to run political ads. We as a society gain little value from these ads since they either say how great one candidate is or how terrible the other candidate is. Most of the campaign money is spent on these ads and it makes candidates more beholden to their donors. If a politician wants to get their message out there make them do debates and interviews with journalists so they can be posed difficult questions.

Make lobbying illegal. Only big companies, and the 1% have the great amount of money .They influence our government to they own interest.The common person don't have that great amount of money. Lobbying is just another form of bribery.

Make lobbying illegal. This is the only way to get money out politics. Lobbying has always been legalized bribery and it's time to put the brakes on this first and foremost. Everything always leads back to the money. If there was ever a time in recent history where the only thing people cared about is money, THIS IS IT FOLKS!

Cut Congressional pay to $125,000. Then if Congress wants a raise, they must also raise minimum wage by the same percentage they give themselves.

Legal mandate for the Affordable Care Act to be the only medical / health care benefit provided for all federal government workers including (and especially) all members of congress, the supreme court, the president, and all of their staff.

Ensure that every voting machine in the USA has independent verification of ts recorded votes. For example, my precinct electronically reads paper ballots that are then kept available for review and comparison to the electronic tallies. The integrity of elections is central to democratic processes -- and the cost of verifiable voting is a minor but sacrosanct contribution to that goal.

Create a national Cabinet-level Department of Peace and Nonviolence to address violence in America (including but not limited to domestic violence, gang-related violence, police violence, and violence in our schools) as well as increasing international conflict. Create educational and related programs to address endemic causes of violence. This was first proposed in 1793; no issue has greater relevance today.

Specifically state Who the bill will affect, What the bill does, When the bill takes effect, Where the bill will affect, How much it will cost, and Why it is needed. Ban all political ads from television. Buying t.v. time is expensive. If politicians were not allowed to advertise on t.v., there would be less need for them to obsess over fund-raising. More people could afford to run for office if the process were less costly. Besides, most political ads on t.v. are devoid of ideas and consist mainly of attacks. They do not help voters make informed decisions.
