Remove profiteering from medical coverage. Yes, pay great salaries to doctors, nurses, and others who work in the health care system, but definitely remove the profit motive from health care. Profit and health are anathema to each other. In order to make a profit, you have to provide less and charge more. Just what health care does not need. It simply jacks up prices, and doesn't allow for the kind of health care we need.
Fix Health Care: Suppliers (Insurance, retailers, hospitals, doctors, Big pharma, equip. mfg, etc.) all share 1 flaw: The profit & care motives conflict. Unnecessary care at unfair prices is the result. Single payer system lowers quality & kills innovation. Instead, align profit & care by changing the pay system: Fee for access - Pay monthly insurance delivers all products & services. Insurance pays all suppliers monthly fee regardless of use. This change improves quality & drives down prices.
