Require that pregnancy be legal only if the woman gives her explicit and uncoerced consent to the use of her body by the fetus, embryo or fertilized egg. Since already-born private parties are so often forbidden to use the bodies of others without explicit and uncoerced consent from those other individuals (sexual activity and medical procedures being two prime examples), why should women and underage girls be denied the same protection where the unborn are concerned?

Unconditionally revoke the law that allows indefinite detention of American citizens with due process. If Obama had "reservations" he should have vetoed it. It is nothing less than treason against the sovereignty of the American people.

Why not have individuals on Medicare pay their premiums for their Medigap insurance to Medicare then Medicare can write on check to the healthcare provider to cover 100 percent of what Medicare approves. This would streamline the system and keep Medicare afloat.

The PAST Act protecting TN Walking Horses must be passed! It is being stopped by Republicans who are in the pockets of the rich "Big Lickers"! How can anyone oppose a bill to stop soring horses!!!

Regarding the California Lottery, I would like to see a Lotto ticket with an actual California schools' name printed on it. Whoever wins $$ will know that a portion, let's say, 30% will actually go to that particular school. I read that California schools are in big trouble with little or no money; well, isn't the California Lottery helping fund public schools, or is the money going somewhere else??

Revamp the civil service. Bureaucracy is too big to be accountable. Protections prevent closing out programs or responding quickly to new needs and initiatives without "growing" the size of government. The alternative is NOT contracting out but government sghuld not be a life long sinecure.

Develop a campaign to discuss a constitutional amendment that would keep the total number of Senators at 100 but that would reduce the number of Senators by one in states with very low populations and increase the number of Senators by one or two in states that have large populations.

Give some way for the minority opinion to have some voice- not the Parliamentary system exactly, but SOME way for the minorities to have a vote in Congress and MEANINGFUL representation in committees.

End graduated income tax. Replace with a 2-5% tax on all electronic money transactions. Use this to fund activities presently funded by income tax revenues, plus funding a guaranteed annual income of 40k per year for nuclear families. This is in addition to earned income.

Set sustainable targets for our population, and set immigration levels low enough to reach those targets. Our population is ballooning at an unsustainable rate, most of it is driven by excessive immigration, legal and otherwise.

Cost-Control higher education by making federal aid and subsidies conditional on a single formula measuring value, academic vs. non-academic spending, and the number of low- and middle-income students universities take in. Then replace loans and grants with government-covered tuition and fees that are repaid with after graduation with an income surtax of 5% for university graduates and 3% for community college graduates. In the meantime, support a bailout of students paying off large loans

Eliminate the employer FICA contributions for their employees in order to stimulate business growth and hiring and to eliminate the incentive of businesses to hire people for cash. Recoup the tax shortfall by eliminating the social security tax cap.

citizens united made corporations people, tax them as people, corporations cannot own corporations, that is slavery, disband corporations after 49 years, about the same years a natural persons works to prevent the competitive advantage immortality in the market place. hold them financially liable for for mistakes they make that effect the public and unintended consequences of legislation their lobbyists pass.

Raise the minimum wage one dollar a year for the next twenty years. In addition guarantee an annual minimum wage to every person over the age of 18. Start at $5,000 per year and Increase that annual minimum wage every years so that in twenty years it would be $20,000 per year.
