Comprehensive Climate Change Bill It is clear from the Gulf oil spill to the California drought to Hurricane Sandy to Miami Street flooding that major action with regards to the climate is needed. It is time to follow up President Obama's climate action with China with legislation. Renewable Energy Standard, investments in desalinization, green buildings, Conservation Civilian Corp, etc. need to be a part of this piece of legilsation.

To save Social Security: 1) Eliminate the cap. Pay SSI based on entire income. 2) Create a limit above which Social Security checks are not sent out. For example, individuals over 65 whose annual income exceeds a certain amount -- say, $150,000 (needs to be adjustable for inflation) -- do not draw their SS checks unless their income dips below the cutoff. Their money will be there for them when they actually need it. That should do it!

Stop discrimination of atheists and pass a law that prohibits banning atheists from holding an office (as is currently the case in a number of states). Equal rights and equal representation for all.

Those who are over 50 and lost jobs due to the great recession are finding it very hard to find jobs. We need to first get rid of age discrimination and also for those who are long term unemployed, make it easier to access their retirement money to survive without penalties.

Biggest problem. Inequality is not good for our economy. Affordable healthcare, housing, education, food and transportation combined with a living wage will stop the hate and grow the economy.

Shine the light (expose) on corporate burden shifting for profits. Ex. Pollution shifts burden to medical system. Low wages shifts burden to tax payers...food stamps and medical.

Bolster the income of working-class America by increasing the minimum wage and sharply expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit. Doing so will benefit everyone, as increased consumption multiplies business activity. A major increase in taxes on the income and wealth of the one percent would pay for this, plus pay for increased infrastructure investment including education.

Create infant/child daycare accessible to all. Single mothers can leave their infant in an a safe environment where during the course of the day, 2 hot meals are provided, and medical care is available if requested, including accessibility to routine vaccinations. This places the adults back into work quickly and provides children not only with an education but also to the food and medical care they require in order to learn properly in the first place

Light rail and public transportation to airports. All major cities in Europe have easy access to airports. Why is it so difficult to get to airports in the US? Minneapolis has an easy light rail to the terminals which is convenient, cheap and comfortable.

The Fair Standards In Manufacturing Act. An Act to make all manufactured goods sold in the United States subject to American labor laws and environmental regulations regardless of nation of origin. This act would serve to level the playing field for American manufacturers with foreign manufacturers. It would disallow access to the American marketplace for any manufactured good that uses child labor,or slave wage labor or made by violating our Clean Air and Water standards.

Outlaw using pesticides and herbicides to create GMO vegetables and livestock feed. If these will kill insects and plants, we should not be eating these GMO poisons since these create cancers and nervous diseases.

Forgive all student loan debt and make all public education tuition-free with no financial barriers to access. This "Human Capital" investment in a true meritocratic society based on equal opportunity rather than debt enslavement can be paid for by taxing capital income the same as labor income.

Redirect fossil fuel subsidies to support the goals of individuals, communities and states to create renewable, regional power: grants, tax rebates, use of federal labor to build the new systems, education credits for those who train to build and maintain the new energy system. Wean the country off the current large-grid system.

Establish federal laws to regulate the amount local utilities may charge for connecting homes and other structures generating renewable energy to the grid. Require all utilities to credit/reimburse residents and/or businesses for producing energy for the grid. Require utilities to reduce energy production as these alternate sources grow.
