The reason why I voted "YES" to this proposal:
Knowing what we know now about how the major financial & banking institutions have received 16 TRILLION dollars from the Federal Reserve Bank originally in secret virtually overnight at the expense of the country and billions more on top of that from the TARP fund, we should give the equivalent kind of relief to the homeowners who have their mortgages under one of these bailed out institutions. It is completely fair that if these very irresponsible financial institutions received a ton of money to make them solvent again then everyone else under them, namely the homeowners, should be able to receive the same kind of help.
