One of the interesting things about teaching abroad, and working with students from abroad is that I get to hear feedback about America, as well as ideas about how to solve certain problems we have:
Almost everyone I work with has many good things to say about America, but there are several things that almost nobody understands:
1) the American obsession with guns
2) Why Americans have such an issue with good nationalized healthcare
3) Why there are so many homeless wandering the streets
In addition, I found it interesting to hear that in China, major white collar crimes are punishable by death. Wonder what effect that might have on the "Wall Street crowd" that seems to operate with such impunity
Change the debate. What's your big idea to save the world?

by the Progressive Change Institute, is a crowd-sourced
platform allowing the public, leading policy experts,
progressive organizations, celebrities and others to submit
and vote on big ideas they believe progressives should
champion in 2015 and 2016.
Voting ended on Friday, January 16 at noon Eastern.
