Term Limits. For House of Representatives, 2 four year terms. For the Senate. 2 six year terms. Hold a popular vote on this.

Impose term limits on both the congress and senate. This would help to reduce the influence of big money on our government

Establish term limits for members of congress. A limit for House members of 4 two year terms and for the Senate two 4 year terms. This would allow in the worst case scenario only 8 years of one party rule.

Institute term limits on ALL branches of the government not just the Executive! If Congress can't or won't do that, then drop it for the President! We have too many decrepit lawmakers who need to RETIRE just like they've mandated other Americans do so.

Have term limits for members of Congress. Senators can hold office for one six year term every twelve years. Extend representative terms to four years, they can serve one four year term every eight years. Each can hold office only twice.

Limit Senators and Representatives to 12 years in office each: two terms for Senators, 6 for Representatives. Then require that they return to their districts/state and get a real job. No lobbying, no working for some firm on Wall Street or in DC. This is how the "Founding Fathers" originally envisioned that our government would work.

All Members of Congress should be limited to 2 terms, and Congress members and anyone who works for any member of Congress shall be banned from lobbying for 10 years after ending employment on Capitol Hill

This makes Washington more dysfunctional. Lobbyists and special interests are already the people who know how politics at that level works, and electeds have to learn the system to do their job effectively. Capping terms gives complete control to those lobbyists and special interest groups by forcing new politicians to rely on their advice to navigate the job effectively. But don't take my word for it, ask your progressive lobbyist friends.
