Corporations are paper, not people. People before profit. Enact laws which reverse Citizens United, McCutcheon, and Buckley v. Valeo. Without a fair field in which everyday people are heard and treated equally, when, as we're now seeing, corporations and money carry more weight than the voices of our citizens, our entire system of government falls into plutocracy and oligarchy.

THE MOST important issue that affects ALL OTHER ISSUES is reversing Citizens v. United and McCutcheon. If the rich can buy elections, then we might as well forget about other important issues: they will be dictated by the big money people.

Call for an Article 5 National convention to propose an amendment to overturn Citizen's United etc, and restore fair elections. It would take 2/3rds of Congress to propose and amendment, but Congress won't act. An Article 5 convention is the only way to get an amendment proposed.

Undo "Corporate Personhood". To make it stick, this probably requires a constitutional amendment, perhaps like "No entity other than a natural person (including but not limited to corporations, partnerships, unincorporated associations, and governments) shall be treated as a person. The rights, privileges, etc of such entities are subordinate to the rights, privileges, etc of natural persons.

#3090 allows for accepting corporations in the US as "persons". I disagree. Corporations are not people, period. We need a constitutional amendment to end this and other destructive aspects of "corporate personhood" and unlimited, hidden corporate donations to elections and judicial decision making.

Corporate "personhood" needs to be eliminated by whatever means. Corporations are clearly not living things.

Hey, we all want to see the ruling of Citizen's United reversed, but many of these merged ideas make it sound as though it is a law to be repealed. It is actually the opposite - it is the repealing of campaign reform laws, particularly contribution limits by the Supreme Court. The only way to "repeal" Citizens United is to pass a constitution amendment, requiring two-thirds of the very politicians beholden to large donors to enact, or to wait for a change in the make up of the Supreme Court itself... and these folks serve for life... and their replacements may support Citizen United. This would be great but it is not likely to happen soon. A more realistic solution is matching funds, vouchers or tax rebates for small donations, allowing politicians who forego large donations to competitively campaign against large donor politicians.

If you really want equal voices then put a cap on what politicians can spend on campaigns so that the best candidate wins and not the candidate who is the best fundraiser. Then enact term limits. Those two actions alone will put the people in the forefront. Anything else is only a political move and enacted to gain points by either the right or left bases
