Have a Big Idea?

Federally decriminalize all drug consumption. Sentence convicted drug dealers to life in prison. Further, offer a federal bounty of $100,000 to any informant whose cooperation and testimony leads to the conviction of the dealer. This new federal fund would be funded through an increase in corporate income tax. Once dealers are on the run we can turn our focus to helping addicts regain control of their lives.

I clicked vote, but didn't grasp it. I would like to unvote, because the idea of sending drug dealers to death, while drug users get free, is absurd and unethical. Look at who sells drugs - it's the poor and people otherwise excluded from the above-ground legal economy. This idea kills the poor and cures the middle class and rich.
