Need to fund alternate programs that train for specific job skills. I know so many young people who pay thousands of dollars to private schools to become nursing aids, information techs etc. There is a very large group of people that go to college and fail because that is not what they need.

Let's get insurence for the poor through Medicaid. The poorest of the poor can not afford private insurence and don't qua for Medicare. It's time we help those less fortunate like the homeless and the people just above the cut off on Medicare.

If we cannot have a single payer system, at least create a single billing system for health care to eliminate the confusing multiple-source system that now makes it nearly impossible to track charges and payments from doctors, hospitals etc. and likely results in multiple billings and overpayment. One set of codes, one billing source, tracked under one identifier (SSN?), filtered through your policy's eligibility algorithms.

Fix the way political districts are created. Have a nonpartisan, transparent system of creating the districts. The way it is now, it doesn't matter how much we vote, our vote doesn't count.

Create a publicly owned Bank of the United States. Model this bank ofter North Dakota's successful public bank. This bank would compete with the private sector banks and would be self supporting, requiring no tax-payer dollars to function. This bank would be prohibited from engaging in risky investments and provide a solid buffer for the financial industry in case of recession, as North Dakota's bank did.

Find solution that involves the end of Big Oil, King Coal, Fracking, Pipe Lines, and begin with giving Mother Earth Rights. Why do we have rights for corporations who are not people and NONE for Mother Earth who IS a LIVING BEING? If Planet not healthy, extinction happens & other issues disappear along with all Life on Earth!!!

End the corporate wars we've seen our entire life times and redirect the Department of Defense to exactly that. Defense. Everyone serves. Health care support in all areas, forestry, educational support of all kinds, policing, fire fighting, elderly care, etc., the manpower for these resources we all need. Illegal immigration happens because we have cheap labor jobs for these illegals. If Fortune 500 companies didn't hire illegal immigrants, we wouldn't need a fence. Think of all the money saved. We need to hold those CEOs accountable and prosecute them for hiring illegal immigrants. GOP Politicians, with the help of these CEOs, have created their own legislation that grants immunity to these CEOs for hiring illegals. This needs to be reversed and is the most important part of immigration reform.

Reduce total prison populations by 2% every year over the next 20 years. By 2034, one generation, Total prison population numbers will be 40% lower than now. This can be done by capitalizing on the many other great ideas found throughout this site including: education, drug-laws enforcement, mental health care, minimum wage increases and so on.

Bring back the Civilian Conservation Corps. Put Veterans to work using this program and invest in our National and State Parks while helping Military Men and Women get jobs once they've decided to return to Civilian life. We NEED to invest in our Natural Historic Places. Monuments, Parks, and our returning Veterans.

Somebody needs to stop the red states from changing the way their electoral college votes are handed out in the presidental election, otherwise we'll never have another Democratic president. This is their final nail in their hijacking of our elections. Every states needs to have the same electoral policy or just get rid of it all-together and elect a president with a popular vote, which really is the fairest way to elect a president. We are becoming a one party system - not exactly a democracy.
